Exploring higher education is exciting and can also be anxiety producing for families. Reducing your stress by providing you with professional and compassionate guidance is my intention. As we engage in a student-driven approach to college planning, my role is to share my expertise with you and serve as a mentor. I facilitate our process-oriented work together by providing the infrastructure, which includes a timeline and a framework for the tasks that need to be completed. I meet each student where they are at, and foster their evolving Self-advocacy and communication skills which are foundational for a positive college experience! Our partnership is also outcomes-focused in order to enable students to set their own goals.
Multi-modality Communication
During our video conferencing sessions, all information will be provided both verbally and visually in order to accommodate different learning styles! If the student is a tactile and/or kinesthetic learner, I invite them to “move,” play with fidgets, stroke the family pet, or use whatever methods enhance their learning process! I look forward to a rewarding collaboration with you!

Comprehensive Package
Would you like to have professional guidance on the entire college planning and application process? Let's start with a thorough college readiness evaluation followed by personality and career assessments to help find areas of academic interest and potential careers. Then we can explore transition / GAP / Post-Graduate program options for developing strong skills in in preparation for college. When the student is ready to start college planning, I will develop a list of schools that are an academic fit, personal fit as well as a financial fit. I will guide you through researching colleges and planning and conducting productive visits. One we refine your list, we will partner on a student-driven process to complete essays and applications. We will have mock interviews and talk through getting recommendation letters. When it's time to evaluate the acceptances, I will help you make your decision. Then we will work on your transition into college and plan for ongoing communication once you launch for your first semester to troubleshoot any issues that arise.
Customized Package
Would you like to have individualized professional guidance on select components of higher educational planning? All packages start with the Profile Evaluation so that the consultant can attain a comprehensive understanding of the student as a whole person with strengths and challenges, passions, values, aspirations, and all the unique qualities that make your student who they are! Readiness for adulting and higher education is an essential component of this evaluation as well. It concludes with a report and debriefing session.
